This Summer we are proud to support Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team (SMRT)

This Summer we are proud to support Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team (SMRT). A group run exclusively by highly trained volunteers and their search dogs who rely solely on charitable donations for their funding. The volunteers many who have full time jobs, are on call and available 24/7, 365 days of the year and in our eyes are the 4th Emergency Service providing a mountain and cave rescue service within the Swaledale and Wensleydale areas of North Yorkshire.

Founded in 1968 they have been helping local people and visitors who may come into difficult whether it out walking, on the river, potholing/caving, working in the dales or even if an animal need rescuing no job is too small. They help support the emergency services by treating & rescuing injured people often in a remote or difficult location which normal services cannot reach.
